Library & Store

History

The Islamic Center Of San Diego Library was officially opened July 2006. It is here that the collections began to grow alongside the Center’s reputation as a centre for knowledge and academic work in Islamic matters. The Library collections are housed on the second floor. The funding for the center has been largely donated by individuals of the community. Being one of the most extensive in Southern California, the library has a collection of Islamic books in Arabic, English and other foreign languages, DVD’s, cassette tapes and VHS videos.

Our Goal

The Library aims to provide an excellent environment conducive to learning and to promote current and historic material on Islam and the contemporary Muslim world. It aims to facilitate access to information on Islam and related areas both to academics and the general public. The Library’s mission statement is a commitment to developing, enriching its holdings and making its resources available to readers in order to actively promote reading and life-long learning. We welcome all those in the public, universities, colleges, to take advantage of the knowledge held within the library in order to further the learning experience.
